The Scientific Advisory Board has awarded three posters and three talks by young scientists presented at the BioProScale Symposium in March 2024 in Berlin.

The scientific program of this year’s BioProScale Symposium included 34 oral presentations and 56 scientific posters. We congratulate the winners of the best talks and posters award which was sponsored by “SCI – where science meet business”.

Best oral presentation:

1st prize:

Robustness of microbial functions in dynamic environments: a microfluidic approach (L14)
Luisa Blöbaum (Bielefeld University)

2nd prize:

Morphology control for supporting scalability of Aspergillus niger cultures (L07)
Tolue Kheirkhah (Technische Universität Berlin)

3rd prize:

Resolved particle Lattice-Boltzmann Large Eddy Simulation in a 15,000 L bioreactor to mimic Lagrangian sensor particles (L05)
Ryan Rautenbach (Hamburg University of Technology)
